The Utah Jazz and WCF Insurance are teaming up to help students get excited about the new school year by hosting their first STEM Field Trip. In collaboration with Science of Sport, 150 6th-grade students from North Point Elementary will have the opportunity to participate in fun, hands-on basketball drills while learning the science, technology, engineering, and math skills behind them. The event will tip-off with a brief panel discussion featuring Jazz and WCF staff members about the importance of education and STEM in their careers as well as a mini lesson and a surprise visit from Jazz Bear. Students will then rotate through five different stations led by WCF volunteers, each featuring a different activity and learning principle.
