Overview

What to expect of this Teacher Portal.

At Science of Sport, our mission is to make STEM education engaging, relevant, and accessible to all learners by harnessing the universal language of sports. We believe that math and science come alive when students can see, touch, and experience the concepts through real-world applications—especially those rooted in sports. As a national non-profit organization, Science of Sport develops high-quality STEM curriculum and delivers programming designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and promote critical thinking in students of all backgrounds. We are dedicated to supporting both teachers and students through hands on, sports-based learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse learning environments. Science of Sport is committed to transforming the way STEM is taught and experienced—empowering the next generation of learners to see themselves as future scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and innovators. The Seattle Sounders Science of Soccer Program focuses on providing engaging hands-on learning activities using soccer examples and provides direct services to teachers and students. These STEM activities have an emphasis on hands-on learning, socio-emotional learning, and STEM education. Students will use materials and sporting equipment to complete the various activities and worksheets. We believe in using the power of the Seattle Sounders and the Science of Soccer to support our communities. RAVE Foundation is the official charitable partner of the Sounders FC, and its mission is to build small fields for free play and invest in programs that use soccer as a vehicle to inspire youth and strengthen communities.
